What is it?
Users can identify their skills to help them manage their career. They respond to a series of simple, step-by-step questions based on their current skills and interests. The tool generates a list of jobs that could be suitable for them.

What does the new version include?
As a result of user feedback, the new version features some additional functionality including direct access to Job Profiles without going through the resource and voice-over (on the CD-ROM only). It's also Mac compatible.
Who is it for?
Because it helps users identify all their skills, it's particularly useful for people who lack confidence or experience. It's suitable for all levels, including pre-Level 2 and users with little IT knowledge.
If you would like to use the Skills and Interests Assessment with a client who does not speak fluent English, there are a range of helplines in different languages where advisers can guide non-English speaking clients through the tool. Click here for more information.
What are the key benefits?
The tool is:
- accessible - users can increase the size of the font, listen to the voice-over (CD-ROM only) and use a screen reader
- quick and easy to use - simple navigation, large buttons, fits within the average consultation time of 20-30 minutes
- flexible - users can print out their personal profile and discuss it with a careers advisor. They can also access Job Profiles directly, without going through the assessment or being online.
